Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The successful candidate will be working for one of the prestigious Poultry Companies in Sultanate of Oman. Finance Manager engages in financial analysis in the areas such as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop an operating framework, process, policies, procedures and quality standards for the finance function
• Actively engage in the development of the project’s operational and business plans
• Formulate the project’s budget in conjunction with other units, tracks expenses and ensure adherence to the assigned budgets
• Direct the development of financial strategy in line with the project’s vision and requirements; and provide financial advice on the project strategies
• Supervise the preparation, analysis, review and finalization of the project budgets, financial accounts, variance analysis and long term financial plans
• Oversee long term budgetary planning and cost saving initiatives in line with the project’s vision and objectives
• Formulate a funding strategy to ensure that funds are available to cater to the project needs and requirements
• Oversee the development and the implementation of all cost control/ cost saving initiatives such as automation/outsourcing… etc. as and when applicable.
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting principles, regulatory requirements and audit requirements
• Manage relationships with auditors and oversee the process of getting the annual accounts audited by appropriate authorities.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting by developing a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism
• Oversee the process of budgetary control for all of the project’s operating costs by ensuring that there are proper mechanisms in place for reporting and risk mitigation.
• Direct financial feasibility studies of procurements contracts and projects to ensure the commercial viability. Recommend corrective steps to ensure that cost objectives are met with maximized efficiency
• Conduct regular evaluations/ interventions to ensure financial feasibility
• Plan, monitor and control the management of the project’s financial resources, financial policies, system, processes and protocols
• Ensure that the annual accounts and financial statements are duly audited and signed off
• Keep abreast of all regulatory and compliance needs to ensure compliance with the same
• Liaise with related Governmental authorities and ensure compliance with their regulations and/or standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accounting
• Professional Degree like CPA/ CA/ CMA/ ACCA
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role in finance management
• Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management.
• Excellent Computer skills
