Job description / Role
- Make recommendations on pricing strategy in different markets and regions.
- Assess the need and business case for purchasing market intelligence resources, for example subscription, reports or analysis tools.
- Consult with internal clients to understand business requirement, plan projects, and deliver to time, cost and quality benchmarks.
- Present regular market intelligence reports to key stakeholders in the business.
- Support the assessment of new market or product opportunities through delivery of relevant and timely market intelligence.
- Support the sales and marketing team with accurate market statistics.
- Analyze and maintain global market data and intelligence to determine growth potential for Octal PET sheet.
- Provide in-depth analysis (market, economic trends, etc.) to support short and long range business planning, new product development and new markets for Octal PET sheet.
- Manages and responds to research requests from senior management.
- Tracks and consolidates new product sales performance.
- Develops and maintains research systems and databases in support of sales and marketing growth initiatives.
- Builds and maintains on-going competitive assessments of the merchant sheet market to include but not limited to PET sheet extruders and thermoformers.
- Identifies and develops external data sources to enhance research effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
- Identify key customer targets and formulate plans for reliable long-term sales.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Pro-actively takes measures to prevent the appearance of and any association with anti-competitive activity on the part of Octal’s competitors.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Business Administration/Marketing Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- English proficiency (speaking, reading comprehension and writing)
- Computer proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- SAP would be a significant “plus”.
- Good understanding and knowledge of marketing process and procedures.
- Proven experience in gathering and analyzing market intelligence
- Proven project management skills
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
