Employment: Full Time

Caledonian College of Engineering invites applications for a position as Head of Department of Built and Natural Environment. The selected candidate will contribute to the delivery and development of teaching, research and professional activities of the Department, together with appropriate educational management and academic support work. He / She will be responsible for strategic planning and direction of the department and allocation of staff duties and responsibilities, and resource planning and utilization.

Requirements

Candidates should have exceptional academic records and demonstrate strong potential in research areas of Built and Natural Environment. The candidate must have effective administrative and organizational skills, and an ability to play an active role as the Head of department. Applicants must possess a PhD in the appropriate area of specialization. Right candidates will also have knowledge and exposure to international educational frameworks and academic accreditations. Interested candidates may apply with their CV (in English) a cover letter, a 2-page statement describing how you would contribute to the post of HoD and development of the College, a CV plus copies of 3 most significant publications, and names of three referees.

All candidates, who are non-native English speakers must have English language competency of a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or TOFEL equivalent, and must attach a copy of their IELTS scorecard or TOFEL equivalent copy.
