The Company
A large leading Oil and Gas business based in Muscat are currently looking for a Head of International Retail to come and join their experienced leadership team.

Job Profile
Head of International Retail is responsible for providing effective and efficient control over the strategy of Business Development, Global Network Management, and Global Businesses functions. He/she is responsible to pursue M&A and growth plans in the prioritized geographies, conduct assessment of potential targets, manage the global network, promote operational excellence across networks, and drive penetration of global businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Business development
* Support and collaborate with Retail Strategic Planning to identify target countries
* Scout prioritized markets to identify feasible M&A targets
* Identify potential segments of the value chain to support the market entry (e.g., lubes, aviation, supply, trading, chemicals, …)
* Oversee feasibility and due diligence studies related to strategic options, M&A activities, decisions, and new opportunities, as well as ensure risk potential and business rationale are considered.
* Advise leadership on the most suitable/viable investment initiatives for the business to achieve the defined strategic targets
* Oversee and ensure the set-up of international subsidiary and the definition of key interfaces
* Oversee and ensure organizational resources required for the set-up of new assets / acquired businesses

Global network management
* Develop and maintain a commercial perspective on international oil and gas markets to guide commercial developments
* Provide strategic guidance on optimizing the existing network of sites to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum profit realization
* Ensure proper network planning at global level and oversee implementation of network optimization efforts
* Ensure the proper application of technical design and safety requirements in coordination with Projects and HSSE
* Provide strategic guidance initiatives to enhance penetration of products and sales, and profitability for both fuel and non-fuel businesses and ensure overall revenue, profitability, and growth targets are met
* Promote best practice sharing across the networks, understanding the market specific needed adjustments
* Define a global product portfolio and sustain global partnerships in fuel, non-fuel and other businesses
* Oversee the implementation of operational improvement initiatives, continuous monitoring and measurement of the impact to overall P&L

Global Businesses
* Define strategy for global businesses products (Aviation, Lubricants, and Commercial / B2B) and identify further opportunities across the value chain (e.g., LPG)
* Drive penetration of products in international markets
* Assess and prepare business case for market entries of global businesses
* Define cross-selling strategy and ensure synergies across all products in markets
* Ensure optimal coordination of pricing, sales strategy, and supply of global businesses across markets
* Develop and maintain a commercial perspective and market intelligence on global products to drive business growth
* Provide strategic guidelines to OpCos on sales activities, ensuring alignment with overall global strategy, sales and pricing objectives

* Corporate functions: Finance & Strategy (M&A, Legal), Supply & Trading, Market Intelligence, People & Culture, Project & Technology, HSEE/Assets Integrity/Engineering
* OpCo/subsidiary functions: Strategy, Sales, Supply chain, Legal, Network optimization
* External: External consultants, Investment bankers, Legal advisors, Vendors and suppliers

Requirements

Education requirements
* Master's degree in Finance subjects or related fields

Language
* English: Advanced
* Command of other languages is preferable Background and experience Competencies and skills

Key requirements
* 10-15 years of experience in the field with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
* Experience in M&A
* Previous experience in operations of fuel retail is preferred
