Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Based on site in Muscat, you will be responsible for the staffing of the project team for the construction of a water treatment plant and operations of waste treatment plants, for the Employee Relations with the project staff and will support the HR Manager in the implementation of the group HR processes and enforcement of HR procedures and policies locally.

You will need to provide the adequate resources on time on the project through an ambitious staffing and to ensure operational excellence when executing HR policies and processes. You will need to be organized in order to ensure that the operational day-to-day is delivered while developing continuous improvement initiatives.

Staffing and mobilization role:
- HR strategic planning and staffing
- Translate the business requirements into HR strategic planning in order to guarantee availability of the right person at the right job on time.
- Understand the Project Management needs, support them in defining the adequate profile, the needed budget and job description definition, select the adequate recruitment means, make a pre-selection of CVs, lead the HR interviews, guide the manager in the candidate choice, negotiate the package and formalize the offer and employment contract.
- Mobilization – Ensure smooth on-boarding and welcoming process of new comers (communication on the country and the Business Area internal rules, anticipation of visa procedure and coordination of Housing).

HR administration:
- Guarantee the issuance of all HR official communications (employment contracts, addendums, salary review communication, disciplinary communication, etc.) liaising with the corresponding manager / employee
- Ensure enforcement of Local labor law.
- Ensure on time HR reporting to HQ on monthly basis.
- Ensure on time and accurate preparation of payroll.

Employees relations and HR guidance role:
- Contribute to fostering constructive employee’s relations by establishing good communications thanks to frequent one-to-one on the ground with the staff (presence on site)
- Coach managers and provide general guidance while dealing with HR topics within the team.

Process support role:
- Assist the HR Manager in the implementation of all the annual HR processes locally, eg. the 6 processes of the
- Group HR Wheel: Training plan, Salary review, Annual Development interview, Scorecard (bonus) People review and Mid-year interview.

Requirements

This challenging role is ideal for an HR generalist profile who wants to develop his/her HR operations skills through a business partner and employee’s relations role on site within a Multinational Company.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior or Human Resources.

General requirement:
- HR generalist profile with
- At least one significant experience in a multi-cultural environment preferably in Middle East, Africa or Asia,
- One significant experience in HR operations in a multinational company.
- A previous experience within the Oil and Gas / Construction / Water / Waste industry is a plus.

Languages required:
- Fluent in English. Arabic and/or Hindi is a plus.

- Strategic HR Planning, Staffing,
- Knowledge of HR processes,
- Organization skills,
- Communications skills.

- Must have an enthusiastic and team oriented approach.
- Must be organized, rigorous and pay careful attention to details.

- Must demonstrate ability to work in a multi cultural environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different cultural backgrounds from Project management to technician level.
