HVAC Design Engineer

Job description / Role

Our client a highly successful multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy requires HVAC Design Engineer to be based in their head office based in Muscat Oman.

Key responsibilities will include

- Communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments
- Research & design HVAC mechanical equipment to meet client’s requirements
- Providing conceptual HVAC system designs for the projects including heat/cool load calculations and equipment selection a
- Calculate air changes and ventilation requirements based on type of system needed by the client
- Provide construction administrative support to the project manager during construction
- Provide instructions to installation contractors, and validate quality of installed works
- Provided budget costs, design drawings of the systems, specifications, and all code required documents for permit.

Requirements

To apply for the role you must meet the following criteria;

- Be degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Have a minimum of 12 years experience working on HVAC building design projects
- Have at least 5 - 8 years experience working for an engineering consultancy
- Be familiar with international codes and standards for construction and design.
- Candidates in Oman with transferable visa preferred
- Indian or Sri Lankan nationals preferred
