I&C Technician

Job description / Role

- Support the management of the long term gas turbine service contract with respect to planned and unplanned outage services of gas turbines
- Adhere to routine plant maintenance plans through the use of CMMS.
- Support successful preparations and completion of planned shutdowns
- Support the implementation of a Long Term engineering strategic plan
- Recognise faults and their causes, and propose solutions
- Support life cycle management for all I&C, DCS systems
- Support Operations Department in the safe and efficient delivery of high levels of commercial availability within environment limits- Be an active part of the maintenance team and help it to meet appropriate people and plant related performance measures
- Ensure Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures are followed.
- Participate in internal / external Quality, HS&E audits and monitor relevant findings
- Help ensure all procedures, documentation, drawings and manuals are kept up to date and necessary training is completed in a timely manner
- Participate in suitable training programs, both for individual development and engineering competence, and develop knowledge and experience in colleagues
- Work within budgets for maintenance and provide feedback on expenditure, explaining variances, potential risks and/or problems and recommending solutions
- Support an environment and mechanism where communication and cooperation between the Maintenance and Operation teams, as well as with Admin Staff, is maintained at excellent levels.
- Continues improvement in the process of work.
- Any other tasks that may be required.

Requirements

- An accredited degree in Electrical or C&I Engineering with some relevant experience.
- Time served Apprenticeship with some relevant experience
- Experience in power stations.
- Experience preferred in CCGT, Gas Turbines, and a wide range of auxiliary equipment.
- Experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
- Commercial awareness and PPA knowledge an advantage
