Job description / Role
To monitor the upkeep, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and business application including user access and management rights. Evaluate the system architecture and align it with overall IT master plan and business requirements.
Provide inputs in the development of IT strategy for the company in line with business requirements and IT master plan.
Evaluate the requirements for business application and explore options for application development including internet and intranet management.
Oversee the infrastructure upgrades, updates and patch application without interruption in business operations.
Oversee troubleshooting activities in coordination with the external vendors.
Provide timely and effective resolution of all IT related issues faced by the company employees.
Carry out troubleshooting activities for front-end user applications in a timely manner in order to ensure smooth operations of a business.
Troubleshooting and addressing queries
Understand and implement the IT security standards in the company
Address and educate employee queries relating to IT security.
Monitor and report any violations in IT security and recommend appropriate actions.
Escalate issues that cannot be resolved within timelines defined to concerned service provider.
Understand the business requirements and assist in creating the technical specifications for IT requirements and tenders.
Participate in the technical evaluation of bids by mapping the business requirements and system functionalities to infrastructure.
Salary:
OMR
750 to 800
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements
Track and monitor the software license requirements for the company
Take appropriate actions for the renewal of license in a timely manner
Evaluate the need for any new software applications in line with business requirements and IT policies.
Minimum Bachelor Degree in IT
5 Years of Experience As IT System Administrator
NOC is required
