Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Under the supervision of the Leachate Treatment Plant Operator and in coordination with the landfill Operations & Maintenance team, the Leachate Treatment Plant Technician will perform the following tasks:
- Perform all work in adherence to Occupational Safety and Health systems and procedures of SUEZ;
- Under guidance from LTP In-charge: operate, monitor, maintain, and trouble-shoot the Leachate treatment Plant, Landfill Gas flaring system and its processes;
- Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with contractual and legal regulations governing the leachate treatment process, landfill gas flaring and sludge management;
- Assist in the performance of regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all LTP/Gas flare equipment and machinery;
- On call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns at the plant and pump stations. Conduct the necessary weekend checks of the treatment plant on a rotating basis;
- Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant;
- Establish a preventative maintenance program with the support of the LTP Operator;
- Inspections of mechanical, generators, electrical and other plant components and systems;
- Do periodic inspections of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems;
- Maintains inventory of replacement parts, chemicals, laboratory supplies, etc., and prepares purchase requisitions as required for ordering the same;
- Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

- Electrical or Mechatronics: ITI (industrial Training Institute ; 2 years after 12th class ) Electrical with 4 to 6 years’ experience in Waste water process or in waste processing/treatment industry, or
- Diploma in Electrical (3 yrs. study after 12th class) with 3 to 5 years’ experience in waste water process/treatment or in waste processing/treatment industry
- Professional background + Number of years of experience required:
- Experience in automated process control systems.
- 3 to 6 years experience depending on educational background.

Languages:
- English, Arabic, Hindi

Technical skills (including computer skills)
- Well versed in Microsoft Office with report-making skills in Excel, Word, data recording and analytical skills

- Be able to perform and document various tests required by for the operation of a Leachate treatment plant.
- Perform daily checks of the Leachate treatment process and periodic checks of pump stations.
- Have a working knowledge of the operation, methods and procedures of a leachate/waste/processing/ treatment plant.
- Have a working knowledge of the machinery used for LTP and pumping stations.
- Have a thorough knowledge of Electrical/process control equipment and the ability to diagnose and correct equipment malfunction.
- Have a working knowledge of basic machinery preventive maintenance and repair.
