Wood is recruiting for a Lead IM Engineer to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all the IM activities (knowledge, data, and document management) and IM deliverables for a specific project and ensuring timely completion to the required quality standards.
  • Managing all aspects of IM for the PDO Feed office, including Detail design and operational services.
  • Supporting departmental improvement initiatives through adoption of processes, tools, and resources.

Responsibilities

The Lead IM Engineer will be responsible for:

Project related:

  • Ensuring early engagement with the Projects Lead Consultant for all projects run out of the office.
  • For each project executed in the office, adapting the appropriate IM framework (EP Projects or other) to the specific needs of the project, documenting the project's strategy and plan for knowledge management, data management, document management, correspondence management, collaboration, application support, and infrastructure support. If required, the strategy and plan will cover the whole Opportunity Realization Process lifecycle.
  • Implementing, practicing, and monitoring the Quality Management System (QMS) in FEED office projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements.
  • Ensuring that the IM strategy and plan are based wherever possible on global standards and standard solutions available from IM for Projects team, e.g., Engineering Information Specification (EIS).
  • Defining IM resourcing, document numbering systems, project-specific procedures, folder structures, IM system configurations, and user registration requirements needed to manage IM on the project.
  • Interfacing with Project team IM lead and EMC IM lead personnel and ensuring the Detail design IM process and procedure are fully understood and communicated to the vendors/suppliers.
  • Ensuring IM4P are set up for supplier model in SPO/Extranet Live link.
  • Ensuring all vendors/suppliers focal point is provided with proper access to Extranet site.
  • Onboarding project teams in terms of their IM responsibilities.
  • Assisting with the handover of project information to customer operating companies and/or EPC contractors. Serving as an interface with the operations and asset teams that are the end customers and optimizing the final information handover to them.
  • Preparing IM input to Contract Tender documents and ensuring compliance with the EIS.
  • Ensuring IM is covered in all project controls (e.g., quality management, risk management, etc.).
  • Being the IPMS Custodian for FEED Office application.

Department related

  • Managing operational Document Control Centre and staff, ensuring adequate resources and competencies are delivered.
  • Monitoring operational IT - IM services ensuring continuous improvement and realization of agreed Service Level targets.

  • Ensuring obtaining As-Built information and providing solutions in the absence of As-Built information.
  • Ensuring management by team all technical clarifications on scope and needs.
  • Being responsible for coordination with the asset teams for the information and technical discussions.
  • Being accountable for the decision-making on changes.
  • Ensuring timely close out of all assurance reviews actions.
  • Ensuring management of raising, uploading, and liaising for approval of technical variances.
  • Ensuring managing and approving of all TPS final reports in a timely manner.

  • Minimum 6 years in FEED/engineering and minimum 12 years in oil & gas industry - preferably with facilities engineering.
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Good communicator with experience in leading small teams.
  • Formal project management and systems analysis experience.
