Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: To assist the Head of Legal Department to advise, on all legal matters in order to safe-guard the interests of the Company by insuring the Company does not commit itself to any unfavorable obligations and complies with local, regional and international laws and practices

Accountabilities:
• Revise contracts submitted to the Company for signature to ensure that they are legally acceptable and favourable to the Company
• Prepare contracts, letters and legal documents for submission by the Company to other parties
• Communicate - through the head of legal department - views to other parties and negotiate better favourable terms for the Company with respect to the above
• Liaise - through the head of legal department - between the Company and outside attorneys on all related legal matters including settlement of legal claims, litigation to defend legal actions on behalf of the Company and performing other legal work
• Negotiate - through the head of legal department - settlement of legal claims by and against the Company

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Degree in Law from an internationally recognized university and a higher degree specializing in Commercial Law will be preferred.

Minimum Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in legal practice.
