Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Experience with Supplier / Producer relations.
- Responsible on price negotiations and vendor management.
- Develop systems, statistical forecasting and modeling of procurement.
- Demand supply planning and forecasting.
- Responsible of trade/ product life cycle management.
- Responsible for daily processing of relevant paperwork for slaughter house, meat processing facility and rendering plant.
- Responsible of transport, logistics supply planning and management.
- Selling branded and commodity products.
- Responsible for procurement and trading of cattle, goat and sheep.
- Provide commodity sales and data market analysis.
- Planning, developing and implementing Livestock Support Services.
- Assist Project Manager to develop project strategies, technical capacity building interventions, activities and policies related to increasing production and productivity.
- Participate in frequent field visits to projects sites as per requirement of the project.
- Support Project Manager in monitoring progress and evaluation of project activities including financial performances.
- Document and disseminate case studies, best practices on extension services, production, livestock health management, feed and fodder production and other related activities and lessons on working with both public and private sector for innovative services.
- Coordinate and liaise with partners, local governments, line agencies, service providers, suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders at project level for effective delivery of project activities.
- Provide timely advice and guidance on all matters related to livestock productivity so that project can be developed and implemented in ways that meet the needs of the communities.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Procurement or related field.
- At least 5 years of work experience in Livestock and Red Meat, preferably in a similar organization and with start-up set up experience.
- Proven experience, skills and knowledge on livestock management, animal health, feed/fodder management, processing technologies and livestock extension services.
- Experience on trade / procurement life-cycle management.
- Strong communication, analytical and report writing skills with fluency in English (verbal and written).
- High level of analytical skills in planning, finance and project implementation.
- Knowledge and skills in basic computing, demonstrated inter-personal skills in working with a multi-disciplinary team.
