Guildhall is working is a top tier organisation in Oman to help them identify a Head of Logistics / Logistics Director.
This exciting role is part of a major transformation and growth period for the organisation. As such we would be looking for a top tier logistics specialist with experience across multiple sectors to come in and implement industry best practices across the group.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments.
- Supervise logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
- Organize warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments.
- Respond to any issues or complaints.
- Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
- Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Evaluate budgets and expenditures.
- Maintain metrics to determine performance and improve performance.
- Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
Requirements
- To qualify for this exciting role, applicants should be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
- Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
- 8+ years GCC experience
