Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Fuel Committee Management

i. Lead the Fuel Committee to drive continual improvement in aviation fuel efficiency through optimising fuel savings generated by activities undertaken across departments, which directly, or indirectly influence the consumption of aviation fuel, consolidate and enhance the benefits generated by fuel saving projects.

ii. Responsible for engaging directly with Oman Air senior leadership team and for establishing the arrangements to enable Fuel Committee members to optimise the efficiency and positively impact projects delivery.

iii. Shall ensure the management of all activities related to the connected to projects, managing technical, administrative and communication activities to underpin the programme’s success.

2. Fuel Savings & Measures

i. Identify, implement and monitor the new fuel saving measures in liaise with related stake holders, IATA guidelines and industry best practices for aviation fuel management. Continuously review the ongoing fuel-saving opportunities and define a process for further improvements.

ii. Collaborating with Oman Air Flight Operations Management, Finance Department to undertake future fuel efficiency forecasting, and monitoring progress towards efficiency targets.

iii. Lead the preparation of fuel efficiency data and case studies material for Oman Air senior leadership team, supporting other internal and external reporting requirements.

i. Accountable for identifying and scoping strategic interventions, significant investments and collaborations which offer the potential to deliver continuous improvements in fuel efficiency performance.

ii. Manage and navigate related Fuel Management System. Should have ability to extract, manage and interpret complex data and present findings as practical management information

3. Fuel Efficiency Project - Program Management

i. Be involved in all related IATA, ICAO, ANSP projects.

ii. Represent Oman Air at all associated activities, such as, but not limited to ICAO, IATA projects, conferences and workshops, airlines forums and meetings, other fuel efficiency actives.

Requirements

A Bachelor Degree in related discipline having 8 years of relevant experience preferably within Flight Operations department of which 03 years should be in a supervisory role, related to operations efficiency OR Specialised certificate / License in the related field with Secondary School and having 14 years of WY / Aviation in similar functions. An experience in ATM field would be an advantage.Master degree in the related field will be advantage.
