Commissioning Manager

The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for coordinating and leading the commissioning activities during pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup of the process equipment up to final handover to Operations.

The Commissioning Manager responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Ensure Commissioning activities are efficiently coordinated and executed as per the approved design and in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure approvals and certificates obtained from local authorities.
- Ensure commissioning roles and responsibilities are defined, communicated and understood by all Construction and Commissioning team members
- Responsible for safe pre-commissioning / commissioning equipment, ensuring the installation is ready for testing as per approved design.
- Develop and monitor plans for testing activities
- Leads and supervises the testing process of all equipment.
- Participates in walk downs and punch coordination relevant to his /her scope.
- Raising TQ (technical queries), FQ (field quarries) where necessary.
- Attend equipment FAT'S and SAT'S as company representative, when requested.
- Actively participates and promotes a strong HES culture.
- Proven strong experience in Commissioning of HV GIS Substations
- 5 years' minimum experience in commissioning management of substations (ranging from 132kV to 400kV), preferably in Oman and for facilities related to Renewable Energy projects.

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with Minimum of 15 years of experience in testing and commissioning in oil & gas / petrochemical industry with a minimum of 5 years in supervisory role.
- Good communication skills.
- Good PC skills
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in electrical engineering (SF6, lightning, protection system earthing, CT, VT, SG connections etc.).
