Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Manage the administrative and operational areas of Crew Planning and Crew Control sub-sections.
- Constantly monitor and analyze the growing needs of business operations and recommend to senior management any adjustment in manpower requirements (actual & virtual) in order to ensure adequate crew for all aircrafts are in place.
- Constantly monitor and analyze airline operations direction to understand the most appropriate productivity tools being used for crew planning and crew control operations and recommend to senior management to take decision about procurement.
- Monitor overall Crew Planning and Control operations, conduct performance reviews and provide timely assistance to resolve all professional issues and improvements to job function in order to ensure timely completion of all Crew Planning and Control activities and operations.
- Recommend to Senior Manager Line Operations required changes in Crew Planning and Crew Control to improve the services to the required airline standards.
- Liaise with responsible department-s in planning the annual crew-manpower and expenditure budget for submission to senior management.
- Liaise with responsible department-s in planning and executing the opening of new station-route relative to manpower requirement, related costs and required logistics for crew members.
- Regularly prepare and submit required management KPI reports.
- Reduce schedule impacts for planned and unplanned occurrences, offset current costs through detailed and measurable studies in order to run variance of planned costs vs. actual which will help to determine avenues of overall operational improvements.
- Liaise with the AUTHORITY through Senior Manager Line Operations to clarify-notify all Flight Operations issues related to Crew Planning and Control and ensure that all current manuals are in line with particular job function and adhere to regulations set by the AUTHORITY and Oman Air.
- Oversee external transportation services for crew members and assist AMCC to resolve any issue that comes up into attention.
- Ensure that all legal parameters set up in Crew Management System are maintained in accordance to with DGSAS and Airline policies.
- Report directly to Senior Manager Line Operations all matters relevant to Crew Planning and Crew Control irregularities and functions.
- Ensure that all required information for preparations of crew roster is available according to the time frame agreed with all concerned departments. Elevate issues to Senior Manager Line Operations as required.
- Ensure that the crew rosters are published as stated in the Crew Policy Manual

Requirements

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree holder in related discipline preferably in the field of Information Technology or Airline Operations with 08 years of relevant experience preferably in airline operations industry with a minimum of 03 years in a supervisory level in a crew planning and crew control, or crew scheduling. Master degree in the related discipline will be advantage. Special Skills & Knowledge Proficient in English (Spoken & Written) Proficient in MS Office Highly experienced, minimum 6 years of using Crew Management System and productivity tools High degree of administrative and operational management skills. High degree of resource planning skills; e.g. short, medium and long term. High degree of composure and stress management. Extensive ability about data analysis and report presentation
