Job description / Role

- Ensure that Vice President Catering is kept informed on the state of the organization with respect to compliance with the approved Training Manual
- Undertake day to day overall management of Oman Aviation Catering department ensuring that Training, Quality and Examination System remain in compliance with all the applicable requirements as mentioned in the training manual
- Assist Vice President Catering in producing Annual Budget
- Keep Vice President Catering advised of any area(s) of concern in relation to Training, Quality, and-or Examination system to ensure compliance with the approved training manual
- Ensure that approved training courses and examinations will be delivered to the standards as mentioned in the approved training manual
- Conduct interviews for potential instructors and administration staff
- Follow up and ensure rectification of audit finding(s) in timely manner in order to re?establish the required standards of training and examination.
- Plan staff leave in order to ensure sufficient staff holding appropriate qualifications are available to carry out all training and examinations as required
- Ensure that Instructors are fully trained and competent to carry out their task and records pertaining to these personnel are maintained and kept up to date.
- Ensure that facilities are suitable for the management of the planned training and secure facilities are available for storage of examination materials.
- Ensure student and staff records are accurate & retained in secure conditions
- Ensure all training staff are kept aware of current regulations.
- Ensure all training material is amended as required and changes are recorded in the approved forms
- Ensure all the instructor update records are updated on a monthly basis to ensure accurate instructor utilization can be gauged for KPI purposes
- Deputize for Vice President Catering his absence
- Ensure instructors are updated on a regular basis with latest regulations & publications
- Ensure creation of an examination databank with sufficient number of questions for each course and the updating of this question bank on regular basis as mentioned in the training manual
- Ensure production of necessary number of question papers for each course from the examination data bank as per the approved training manual
- Ensure the security and validity of all examinations is in accordance with the requirements of the approved training manual.
- Ensure timely preparation of the Annual training plan which includes all the training requirements of the all the departments within Oman Aviation Catering and also that of third party customers
- Ensure timely adjustments to the Annual training plan to ensure timely delivery of the training courses to all our customers.

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in a related discipline with 08 years of relevant experience preferably in the training department / section of an organisation of which 03 years’ in a Supervisory level.
- OR Specialised certificate / license in the related field with Secondary School and having 14 years of WY / Aviation experience in a similar functions.
- Master’s Degree in the related discipline will be an advantage.
