Math Teacher

Job description / Role

Objectives: To develop and present interesting and effective math lessons to students, with the goal of ensuring that they meet the necessary learning objectives and make progress in their studies. Additionally, to keep track of each student's progress, provide them with constructive feedback, and establish a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic success.

Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement captivating and efficient math lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
* Track and evaluate students' progress and offer constructive feedback to both the students and their p arents.
*Establish a welcoming and all-encompassing learning atmosphere that fosters student motivation and engagement.
* Collaborate with fellow educators to strategize and execute interdisciplinary initiatives and undertakings.
* Guarantee that teaching materials and resources are current, pertinent, and accessible.
* Keep precise and current records of students' attendance and progress.
* Participate in professional development opportunities aimed at improving teaching practices and staying current with the latest educational trends and best practice.

Reporting to: School principal

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field
* Teaching certification or licensure from an accredited institution
* A minimum of 10 years of experience teaching math at the secondary level
* Excellent knowledge of the math curriculum and teaching methods
* Strong classroom management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
* Experience teaching in an international school or diverse cultural environment
* Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and technology integration
* Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme
