Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Consult with the SA business leaders to develop and implement area and product strategic planning to deliver sustainable, year-on-year improvements in financial performance through improved supply practices
• Engage with Area Supervisor & area planners to understand their business, the business needs and profit drivers
• Liaise with area superintendents to optimize the inventory levels
• Apply planning skills to optimize inventory and maintain a healthy service level through analyses of requirements:

- Maintain, review the materials master data
- Conduct regular interactions with end users
- Indentify & monitor list of critical items
- Review outstanding PR’s on daily and monthly basis
- Review all stock outs
- Cleaning up of material descriptions
- Monitor duplications
- Understanding of the MSDS sheets
- Possess good knowledge of Business Warehouse reports
- Understand consumption base planning
- Understand all parameters of the material master
- Maintain and review stock levels
- Ensure all KPI’s assigned are on target
- Material master creation with clear buying description
- Action the SA Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) routines to maintain high EHS standards

• Action the SA EHS safety routines
• Conduct EHS risk assessments on major projects
• Analyses EHS equipment risks
• Promote safety awareness among Supply Chain and contractor staff aimed at achieving zero harm

Requirements

• Degree in related field plus 5 years of relevant operational experience.
• Or Diploma in related field plus 7 years of relevant operational experience.
• Essential skills and experience: The Coordinator is required to operate independently and to apply technical knowledge and skill.
• It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• The Coordinator must have leadership, negotiation, project management and change management skills as well as a knowledge of:

- Inventory management
- Analyzing reports
- Material Planning Cycles
