Office Administrator – Muscat, Oman

We are looking for an Office Administrator to join the latest edition to their Middle East portfolio of offices; in Muscat, Oman. The role will be responsible for providing secretarial support to fee earners in Oman and managing the fundamental HR and finance support for the office in general. The role is diverse, covering a wide array of secretarial, administrative and legal office functions.
Key responsibilities will include answering calls, taking messages when required, typing amended agreements and correspondence by the fee earner, composing correspondence, maintaining the diary, arranging appointments, meeting and travel as directed by the Fee Earners and performing a variety of ad hoc work when necessary. You will create and maintain effective filing systems, monitor timesheets and records and raise invoices accordingly. There will be key internal and external client service to lawyers, clients and visitors and you will serve as the key liaison between all departments and overseas offices.
Additionally, as the role overseas the operational running of the office, you will be responsible for the facilities management, liaison with the PRO for renewal of operating licences, visas etc., project based work and assisting with marketing/ business development and events work, to enhance the firm’s presence in the country.
We are looking for an individual with a solid secretarial background within a corporate, professional services organisation and preferably with experience in a global law firm. Candidates must be excellent communicators, with strong initiative, commitment and self-confidence to play a pivotal support role for this office.
