Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Documentation
- Develop and publish procedures to meet regulatory requirements, industry standards & best practices of CAR-OPS 1 and IATA Publications and IOSA (ISARP).
- Liaise, coordinate, develop and implement department operational standards and procedures in order to exceed minimum standards.
- Obtain Authority approvals for regulated manuals and documentation.
- Write, obtain approval and distribute Airport Operation Notifications as and when required.
- Responsible for the distribution of Control and uncontrolled copies of Airport Operations manuals and publications.
- Curtail cost on document publishing cost and improve efficiency through innovative means and lean management processes.
- Training and Implementation
- Identify training requirements of the department as per IATA-AHM, IATA-I-GOM, IOSA (ISARPS) and Civil Aviation Requirements of Oman on a continuous basis.
- Prepare and seek approval for annual training budget for Airport Operations.
- Ensure that staff involved in aircraft handling activities are adequately trained and qualified.
- Ensure quality standards in Base and Network stations are consistent in line with published procedures and standards.
- Ensure that approved Quality Control (QC) program is rigorously followed.
- Review Corrective Action Plans (CAP) submitted to the findings and ensure implementation of CAP.
- Maintain Quality Control (QC) reports in order to fulfil the company Quality Assurance Program.
- Be responsible for managing the Auditor Pool in order to meet corporate objectives.
- Reduce duty travel cost by through innovative means of training and auditing.

Weight & Balance
- Ensure that Oman Air Weight & Balance activities related to Load Control procedures are in accordance with CAR-OPS 1.
- Obtain Mass & Balance Data from Aircraft Manufacturers and Engineering Department and ensure that correct weights and indices are published in Ground Operations Manual (GOM) and Departure Control Systems (DCS).
- Update AHM560 and AHM565 data for all aircraft types and ensure the data is correct.
- Verify test load sheets issued by Service Providers and advice approval for issuance of load sheets using DCS.
- Be responsible to achieve optimum Centre of Gravity limits of the aircraft during the issuance of load sheet in order reduce fuel burn.
- Be responsible to lead and manage Potable Water program in order to reduce overall operating expenditure.
- Investigate all Load Control related incidents and publish reports for management review.
- Perform as Load Control Trainer as and when required.
- Dangerous Goods and Live Animal Transport
- Assist Manager Cargo Airside & Dangerous Goods to execute approvals for the carriage of Dangerous Goods AND Live Animals on Oman Air flights.
- Increase revenues by regularizing Dangerous Goods (DG) and Live Animal transport.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in a related discipline with 2 years of relevant work experience in relevant field
- OR Two years college Diploma in a related discipline with 6 years experience of relevant experience
- OR Specialized certificate / license in the related field with secondary school certificate and having 08 years of WY work experience.
- Exposure and experience in handling training, document publishing, load control or Ramp in the Aviation industry will be advantage.
- Professional qualification n the related field from a reputed university with good academic records will be advantage.
