Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to: Chief Technical Officer
Cluster: Oman

Objective: Oversee plant O&M activities, HSE management, contract management, warranty and claim management.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor HSE performance of operator and report.
• Monitor O&M activities of the power station from Owner’s perspective in accordance with O&M agreement.
• Monitor compliance with PPA and other project agreements, incl. reporting.
• Monitor compliance to regulatory requirements and permit stipulations
• Monitor plant performance and provide regular feedback, reports.
• Manage closure of warranty claims in liaison with O&M Operator and follow up with EPC Contractor for timely resolution.
• Manage any direct involvement of Owner to rectification of warranty claims.
• Organize, coordinate and manage technical plant improvements, including efficiency enhancement projects.
• Scrutinize and comment on monthly invoice to client
• Monitor and Scrutinize Fuel Demand Model and fuel consumption

Reporting-Weekly/monthly progress report to head office

Requirements

• Master’s degree, mechanical, electrical or instrumentation.
• Experience in a similar position or in CCGT plant’s operations and maintenance.

• In depth knowledge of combined cycle power plant O&M
• Contract management
• Strong networking skills
• Problem solving skills. Solution-oriented.

• Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken).

• Able to deliver independently with minimal support.
• Business Understanding
• Understanding of the contractual framework (OMA, PPA, NGSA, ECA etc.) and stakeholders
