Job description / Role
Private Assistant Chef up to 2.6k Usd for a Vip Family in Muscat, Oman
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Preparing meal ingredients, washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
• Create clean and tasty International and Arabic dishes for the family
• Creating a customized meal plan
• Shopping for groceries (at markets, grocery stores, etc.)
• Shopping for specialty items (organic, gluten-free, nut-free, etc.)
• Keeping up with nutritional information
• Order and maintain an inventory of food and supplies
• Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans, and kitchen scales
• Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredient
• Ensure proper preparation of all food to be served
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
Requirements
• POSITION: Private Assistant Chef
• SALARY: up to 1,000 OMR or 2,600 USD full package depending on qualifications and experience plus medical benefits
• HIRING COMPANY: VIP family
• LOCATION: Muscat, Oman
• AVAILABILITY: Immediately (1-month max)
• EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• Open to ANY nationality
• Male/Female, 25 – 40 years old
• Candidate must be currently available in Oman
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts is preferred or any relevant certification
• Minimum of 10 years of working experience, experience working with a VIP Family is highly preferred
• Knowledgeable in preparing International and Arabic cuisine (Gluten free, Vegan and Vegetarian are preferred but not a must)
• Strong background in quality control, hygiene, and sanitary control
• Open minded, flexible with a professional attitude
• Knowledgeable in HACCP food practices and proper food sanitation
• Excellent English communication skills
• Willing to work closely with private executive chef to learn new techniques, recipes, and cooking styles
• Willing to learn and a positive attitude is a must
