The project:

• A major urban development project comprising of new homes, commercial properties, public spaces and smart urban mobility. Mace have the opportunity to develop and lead and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development.
• Manages category leads looking to develop into an operations director.
• Responsible for managing category leads across team/s to deliver key outcomes according to plans and contributing to strategic development of function.
• Provides leadership and direction through leads and/or teams to support and develop teams in the achievement of targets. Develops key client level internal and external stakeholders.
• Provides performance management, technical and career development and coaching.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Directs the category management teams and leadership including high value/complexity tenders.
• Proactively develops and creates internal and external senior stakeholder relationships.
• Provides performance management, technical and career development and coaching.
• Provides expert due diligence and company and market expertise.
• Executes value creating re process, performance and commercial activity, track record of delivering on targets.
• Adapts plan development and implementation including embedding, monitoring, delivering via others.
• Provides leadership and management of teams and acts as a role model for behaviours.
• Delivers on objectives in challenging situations on time.
• Contributes into strategy development, develops plans and oversees the delivery.
• Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:

• Relevant degree qualification. CIPS qualification. Professional membership or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Proven experience working on city development, programme, projects.
• Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.

You’ll also have:

• Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programmes.
• Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
• Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
