Job description / Role
WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff is looking to recruit a number of Electrical Engineers) to join our power distribution project for Mazoon Electricity Company (MZEC) in Oman. WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff are providing consultancy services for Project Management including reviewing, designing, monitoring and supervising the construction of a range of power distribution works across MZEC areas.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and reporting of all Power Distribution Projects including 33/11kV Primary Substations, OHL, Cabling works, 11 and 0.415kV distribution works
- Coordinate with all Project Engineers (Civil and Electrical), Department Heads and others with the Client’s Office and prepare reports
- Review and approve the construction program of the electrical woks submitted by the contractors and coordinate with the Project Engineers to comply the requirements
Requirements
We would like to hear from degree qualified Electrical Engineers with minimum 8 + years of experience in Project Management of Power distribution works.
- Bachelor degree of Engineering in Electrical
- Should have minimum 8 yrs. experience in Power distribution works of which 3 years in gulf countries / Oman preferable
- Formal training / certification and in depth working knowledge in Project Management software like Primavera (including Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management) and MS Project
- Familiarity with Work Break down structures of Power Distribution Works
- Experience in Pre and Post Tender activities
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English including report writing
- Experience as certified trainer or in training of Project Management Software applications including Primavera preferred
-Valid driving license is preferred.
