Job description / Role
• Relay setting calculations,
• Revising protection schemes when required,
• Testing and commissioning of all protection equipment (relays, CTs, VTs, etc.),
• Fault analysis and troubleshooting,
• Tripping incidents’ investigation,
• Define and set the standards of PQ meters,
• Familiar with all distribution networks equipment (power transformer, capacitor banks, switchgears, DC systems, cables etc.,
• Review protection policy & specifications,
• ETAP (Electrical Power System Analysis & Operation) software.
Requirements
• Protection engineer with experience in distribution/Transmission networks,
• The suitable candidate should have bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering,
• Holding an Omani/or GCC driving license,
• and be fluent in English.
