Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA/QC officer to oversee quality assurance and control activities on a marine infrastructure construction project in Oman. The successful candidate will ensure that all construction activities meet the required standards and specifications, and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans and procedures.

Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Monitor construction activities and materials to ensure adherence to approved quality standards.

Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, test results, and quality reports.

Ensure that non-conformances are identified, documented, and resolved effectively.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide training on quality standards.

Prepare and submit quality reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with international standards and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications & experience

Experience with LNG (liquefied natural gas) projects is a plus.

Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles, preferably within the construction or oil & gas sectors.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspection techniques, and relevant standards.

Experience with marine or heavy civil construction projects is highly desirable.

Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.

Additional requirements

Willingness to be based full-time on-site in Oman.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Valid passport and ability to travel as required.
