Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Liaise with affected internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering & Maintenance, Product & Brand Development, etc.) and manufacturers to establish Cabin Interiors (which includes Safety Equipment) configuration specifications for new aircraft programs.
- Perform technical and feasibility study of new Cabin Interiors product and generate a report with recommendations.
- Effectively manage and monitor all new aircraft Cabin Interiors programs in each phase of project: definition, production, delivery and entry into service.
- Along with Finance Department, keep a track and control of each new aircraft Cabin Interiors program budget and further minimize any cost that might occur in service.
- Ensure safety, quality and maintainability compliance of each affected product is in line with aviation authority and company policies and regulation.
- Effectively liaise with manufacturers to ensure product is defined, manufactured and delivered on time and as per Oman Air specification requirements.
- Work closely with Senior Engineer IFEC to ensure compatibility of IFEC equipment with seat product.
- Participate in effective negotiation of contracts related to new aircraft Cabin Interiors program with affected manufacturers for the purpose of obtaining Oman Air’s requirements with minimum cost.
- In the absence of Senior Engineer IFEC, to undertake duties related to In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, or as assigned by AMTP.
- Undertake other duties as requested by management.
- HSE requirements as per company and government rule

Requirements

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- With 04 years of relevant work experience OR Diploma in Engineering or ICAO Type II licence with 06 years of relevant work experience.
- OR Specialised certificate / Licences in the related field with Secondary School and having 10 years of WY / Aviation experience in similar functions.

Special Skills & Knowledge:
- Proficient in English (Spoken & Written) (Arabic is preferable but not mandatory prerequisite)
- Proficient in MS Office Knowledge in project management, Knowledge in reading technical data, drawings & manuals.
- Attention to detail Effective communication skills & good interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage priorities and work to meet targets and deadlines.
- Able to work independently and/or effectively in a team–oriented, collaborative environment (as necessary)
- Experience on In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity is an advantage
