Employment: Full Time

Strategic

- Develop relevant strategies to handle company’s public relations, corporate communication and internal branding in consultation with senior management to ensure expectations of all stakeholders are met and company is positioned and represented appropriately nationally and internationally.

Operation

- Assessing communication and media priorities for the company in order to develop and execute a media plan for Oman and all outstations.
- Plan, monitor and oversee the execution of department activities and recommend on new offerings that will be effective to strengthen corporate reputation and branding.
- Collaborate with news and media outlets in order to ensure and manage high quality, cost-effective support and delivery of communication and media publications services .
- Develop and maintain stakeholder maps to identify key decision makers-opinion formers in order to form the basis of targeted communication plans for the company.
- Oversee the implementation of corporate communication and internal branding strategy and continuously improve the same in line with latest market trends.
- Act as Management focal point in handling all media communication related to Oman Handling Group’s services and achievements .
- Champion media relations programs and manage press relations for the company ensuring that all communications and media activities are in sync with global and local market standards.
- Plan and provide strategic guidance and lead the creative process in developing new ideas and innovative techniques by researching and writing news release to secure high quality news articles and features for all corporate initiatives and major programme launches.
- Lead the internal communication-branding program during major restructure initiatives undertaken by the company to support organizational change and development through effective communication.
- Review and provide timely inputs to all annual company reports and publications in collaboration with respective departments.
- Liaise with Emergency Response Planning (ERP) wing of the Quality and Safety department to provide key inputs in drafting the communication strategy as part of the emergence response plan and act as a focal point of contact for all internal and external communications during any major emergencies to ensure effective support with regards to public relations and corporate communication during emergencies.

People Management

- Select, train and develop direct reportees and other subordinates to ensure continuous improvement of human resource function.
- Conduct periodic performance appraisal in line with the company’s performance management program.

Requirements

- Bachelor in Media and Communications with 12 years of relevant experience in media and communications field of which 3 years in a Managerial role.
- Master’s degree in the related discipline is preferable
