Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Operational:
- Responsible for setting the strategic direction and new holiday product development in line with the business plan.
- Develop annual plan for development and marketing of holiday product, including budget, in line with the company’s marketing plan and targets.
- Responsible for planning and delivering commercial and customer focused holiday products.
- Negotiate with ground suppliers of hotel and ground product for new tours or for the continuation of existing tours. Create a finished holiday product for each WY destination and coordinate the development of promotional material (including brochures, website display and POS material).
- Improve and develop strict booking and servicing processes, procedures and manage the holiday booking centre on an ongoing basis.
- Plan specific advertising campaigns to promote sales, with each campaign strictly budgeted.
- Plan specific promotions at festivals and trade shows where promotion of holidays product is indicated.
- Coordinate activities with the Oman Ministry of Tourism, to ensure that Oman’s tourism goals are achieved.
- Coordinate with Royal Oman Police to ensure smooth visa process for Oman Air passengers visiting Oman.
- Develop public and press relations component and release information in a timely and effective manner.
- To achieve revenue sales target and increase sales volume.
- Monitor on a monthly basis, the sales volumes generated and adhere to approved plans and budgets.
- Provide monthly and quarterly revenue reports to the management.
- Coordinate with Country Managers and Sales Managers across the network to maximise Oman Air Holidays sales.
- Define the KPIs for all staff and ensure these are met and evaluated periodically.
- Coordinate all activities of the department and outstations with a view to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
- Manage effectively the department’s staff resources in selection, training, motivation and evaluation.
- Ensure that the department develops a reputation within and outside the company for innovative thinking, excellence, reliability and a partnership attitude.

People Development:
- Conduct performance appraisal for direct reports to ensure continuous improvement of talent.
- Lead and guide subordinates by providing them with guidance, training and the required growth opportunities to ensure that subordinates are developed for higher-level roles.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in a related discipline preferably in business studies with 10 years of relevant experience preferably handling sales function of which 3 years should be in a Managerial position preferably handling holiday’s sales. Master’s degree in the related field will be advantage
