Employment: Full Time

Strategic

- Constantly monitor the IT infrastructure in providing a strategic direction for the development of a complex applications environment to maximize efficiency and minimize operating costs
- Provides assistance to the IT infrastructure team in preparing annual budgets and manage expenditures within the approved budget.
- Plan, prepare and manage IT infrastructure setup of the organisation and oversee the operations carried out by the reporting sections
- Implement enterprise application projects, directing requirements definition, development, validation, and ongoing maintenance activities. Planning, developing, supervising and implementing IT projects utilizing the established project management tools and techniques;
- Responsible for Application Management Services actual-to-budget expenditures, adjusting expenditure patterns-trends as needed to comply Management with budgeted amounts. Prepare, revise, finalize and submit the annual budget forecast for the Applications Services Department and related technologies;
- Assesses business automation and digitization needs and provides analysis of information systems, processes and support;
- Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring to a team of Application Services professionals. Supports and develops the technical expertise needed to meet long-term business needs. Manage staff by reviewing, approving and allocating work and work assignments among staff;

Operations

- Management of overall IT infrastructure setup of the organisation and oversee the operations carried out by the reporting sections namely,
- Service Desk
- Network & Telecoms
- Desktop Services
- PDO, Outstations & Airport Systems
- Oversee, monitor and assist Computer Centre activities with regards to timely completion of Database administration, System administration, Email administration and System operations
- Oversee, monitor and assist Network & Telecoms activities with regards to timely completion of passive Network Administration (including SITA and Sabre), Telecoms Administration and cabling
- Oversee, monitor and assist Desktop & Service Desk activities with regard to timely completion of Desktop Administration, Service Desk Administration and related issues
- Manage different infrastructure projects (like DR, CUTE-BRS, Network Upgrade and enhancements, deployment of desktop solutions etc.)
- Manage IT projects as assigned by COIT and contribute towards enhancing IT infrastructure as per the set business plan and objectives
- Coordinate with various IT section on various departmental and divisional IT issues and assist COIT in review and finalisation of IT budgets (Capital, Manpower, Training and Operating) related to IT Infrastructure operations.
- Coordinate with IT suppliers and vendors to ensure proper support is rendered as per the signed agreements
- Coordinate with external parties like DGCAM, OAMC, Omantel, ROP, airlines for various infrastructure projects
- Approve leave, duty travel for all Infrastructure staff and I-Procurement requisitions for IT department

Requirements

- Bachelor in engineering preferably in Computer engineering with professional qualification is desirable.
- Having 12 years of relevant experience in IT field of which 3 years in a Managerial role. Master’s degree in the related discipline is preferable
