Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Develop policies, procedures and manuals for Equipment Production and Wash Up section.
- Set performance criteria and ensure targets are achieved.
- Implement airline contractual requirements and coordination with the airline representatives on operational issues.
- Prepare and implement budgets.
- Prepare tenders scope of work, analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management system and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management system as per the quality control standards of Catering Business Unit and sections manuals.
- Implement company’s policies and procedures.
- Liaise with Customs and ROP officials regarding the rules and regulations, which affect the aircraft catering operations.
- Ensure by constant supervision on standards of service provided to the clients by visual inspection, checking of records, analysing feedback from clients, and take corrective measures whenever necessary.
- Participate in airline menu presentation.
- Recommend new equipment and procedures for improvement and efficient performance of the section.
- Training and career development of staff.
- Ensure prompt response on communications and correspondence-information requested are submitted within the stipulated time.
- Apply controls on meal wastage, overtime, fuel, electricity, water, etc.
- Any other duties as directed by Vice President – Catering Services

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline preferably in Hotel/Catering Management with minimum of 10 years of experience preferably with Airline Catering.
- In addition must be knowledgeable in food handling, hygiene, aircraft loading techniques, airline bond stores, accounting and administration.
