Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Provide guidance to the flight operations department in maintaining through knowledge and compliance with the Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs) issued by PACA and keep upto date knowledge of the revision of CARs and Operational directives.
- Provide guidance to the flight operations department in maintaining overall knowledge on ICAO Annexes for operational compliance
- Corresponds with PACA through EVP-COO’s office with respect to policy changes and approvals in accordance with CARs.
- Corresponds with other departmental heads-Mangers on flight operations policy changes for incorporation in policy manual after approval of EVP-COO.
- Liaise with all operational heads-Mangers in order to prepare and maintain the applicable parts of the operations Manual, Flight operations Policy manual, Crew Policy Manual as per the regulatory and company requirements.
- Coordinate with PACA flight inspectors for approvals of all the parts the operation manual.
- Compiles and maintains approval of all necessary revision to the operations manuals issues in coordination with senior management.
- Exercise quality control over the processes required to maintain the manual.
- Liaise with regulator and - or his representative on all issues relating to regulatory compliance and advice the EVP-COO - Senior Management of any known current or impending noncompliance.
- Advice the flight operation management on operations and regulatory implementation deadlines.
- Develop and propose policy amendments related to regulatory issues.
- To guide flight ops to ensure conformity with all IATA IOSA SARPS relevant to flight operation responsibilities.
- Process periodical amendment and revisions to applicable parts of operations manual and policy manuals in coordination with senior management.
- Review published notices to crew (NTC) regularly for incorporation into applicable parts of operations manual.
- Liaise with the regulator on documentation issues and processing all approvals for the operations manuals including revisions.
- Prepare documents for seeking exemption from PACA for flight operations in respect of new aircrafts.
- Planning and directing the work of Technical Publication section, monitoring their work and taking corrective action when necessary
- Provide guidance to the Technical Publication section to prepare reports
- Ensure clarity around priorities and setting performance indicators for Technical Publications section in accordance with the Company objectives and policies.
- Manage along with MTP the overall financial and manpower budgeting for the Technical Publications section
- Interface with Senior Management for reporting
- Work with SENIOR Management and with other peers for strategy development and execution planning
- Any other duties assigned by the EVP-COO from time to time.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in a related discipline with 10 years of relevant experience of which 5 years in CAR / JAR- OPS 1 or FAA part 121 or equivalent airline and having Management experience of 3 year in regulatory affairs / compliance management in Flight Operation department of an airline. Must have (or have had) a crew certificate or FOO authorisation. Master degree in the related discipline will be advantage.
