Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Main Responsibilities
• To manage and coordinate all store related activities.
• To establish and implement best practice processes to ensure the integrity of the store management system.
• To monitor, control and supervise all audits.
• To develop the diligence and competence of the immediate stores team.

Operational
• Lead all activities related to the effective planning and management of the stores.
• Follow up all P.O’s
• Establish all store management systems across sites.
• Assign competent store keepers based on competency assessments.
• Complete stock counts across all sites and take necessary actions.
• Ensure that all stock is entered and maintained on the relevant store management systems.
• Design and complete stores training for all new employees.
• Set up and manage the stores monitoring process.
• Undertake effective site visits, hold team meetings to discuss results and improvements.
• Undertake quarterly audits and report findings and actions to the PMV manager.
• Act as the stores focal point for the Operations teams, coordinating when necessary with Project Managers.
• Set up and maintain a complete material inventory across all stores.
• Ensure all store activities are HSE compliant.

Management & Leadership
• Ensure that all new employees are correctly inducted, understand the organisations goals and work together as one team to achieve these.
• Follow HR policies and procedures to ensure management consistency and enhance employee engagement at all levels.
• Mentor and coach direct reports, ensuring a keen interest and focus on their development at all times.
• Keep abreast of industry developments to enhance SCC capabilities.
• Complete trend analysis to allow the PMV manager and procurement teams to create smarter purchasing decisions, adding value to the business.

• Ensure that all new employees have a high level of competency and awareness of behavioral safety.
• Drives a culture of zero harm.
• Promote QHSE innovation & improvement within the team.
• Implement and comply with QHSE Management System.

Requirements

Essential
• BA in business related degree (Diploma acceptable too with relevant experience)
• 10+ years of experience in managing multiple stores
• 6+ years of experience working within a contracting business
• 2+ years of working experience with/in the Middle East
• Experience with operating ERP systems (SAP B1 preferable)
• Knowledge of construction materials
• Attention to detail
• Ability to train direct reports
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Awareness of how to lead and motivate a team
• Experience of working with Procurement teams to generate business value
