Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Manage the day to day activities of the engineering team and lead, supervise and guide discipline-specific teams in the preparation and coordination of the design / or detailed drawings, ensuring deadlines are met and that work is completed to the required quality standards
• Manage and direct the procurement of various industrial water and wastewater equipment, should have an excellent knowledge of local and international suppliers in the markets.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors, take the necessary measures to ensure scope and quality are being met in accordance with the project specifications and the client’s requirements.
• Make sure that all teams are having clear and specific targets, and all are working in an optimized and coordinated direction.
• Unify, set procedures and standards for completing engineering tasks, monitor team members and train when necessary.
• Program, plan and coordinate all project engineering activities related to the Process, Mechanical, Electrical and instrumentation. Throughout the project duration.
• Asses and plan for the required resources at each phase of the project, and anticipate the timing for their requirement on site.
• Should have the advanced technical skills and knowledge to check designs and specifications, and make sure all work is done in accordance to the client/ consultant specifications & drawings.
• Interface with other trades and teams such as civil and domestic MEP, to make sure all plant equipment procurement and engineering activities are done in a sound and clear coordination.
• Represent the employer and be the first line to answer and resolve day to day issues, and provide optimized and sound solutions to consultant/ client when necessary.
• Coordinate and liaise with MEICA site management and engineers, and make sure installation, testing and commissioning are being done in accordance with the approved drawings, methods, and submittals.
• Monitor progress and prepare progress reports for the management review and discussion.
• Evaluate performance of the team members and provide motivation and support when required.
• Implement company policies and procedures and ensure that all subordinates are inline.

Requirements

• Minimum 15+ years of technical experience in the field of water and wastewater, and should have a proven track of successfully managing and leading diversified teams of engineers to deliver sizable water and wastewater treatment plants;
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar;
• Technically expert with Strong Management and Leadership skills;
• You are fluent in English, any additional language is an advantage;
• You are willing to work abroad and are flexible;
• Computer proficiency, working knowledge of MS Project.
