Job description / Role
Air-conditioning
- Perform all types of Air-Conditioning repair & service jobs on all incoming G.S. Equipment-Vehicles due for Air-Conditioning service-repairs in GSE W-Shop, according to service checklist delegated by the GSE W-Shop Supervisor and Air-Conditioning Supervisor as per daily GS Equipment Job Card.
Technician Common Duties
- Refer to the manuals and publications for heavy repair - maintenance jobs, treat them with utmost care and return to the storage after completion of the job.
- Make entries in the job card for all jobs that has been carried out upon completion and report the status to the Supervisor-Lead Technician.
- Monitor work area and ensure that all tools, materials and equipment used are handled and operated in a safe manner and loan items are returned to the Stores after completion of assigned jobs.
- Follow up with stores for pending parts requisitions to complete work on time as per Job Cards and report to the Supervisor on unavailable- low stock to procure-refill in order to avoid repair works being delayed due to unavailability of spare parts.
- Note all discrepancies found during the work time and bring it to the attention of the Supervisor for further actions
- Ensure to keep all work areas clean and tidy after completion of work orders at all times.
- Ensure compliance to safety and security regulations.
Update knowledge of current company policy and procedures by reading, memo, circulars and manual updates
Requirements
- Two years college Diploma in related discipline with Cumulative GPA 3.0 Or Secondary School Certificate having 2 years work experience with Specialised certificate / license as automobile mechanic/electrician/air-con technician in a similar profile / industry will be an advantage
