Our client, a market leader in logistics and transport, is seeking a Transport/Operations Superintendent to oversee fleet management and the movement of oversize cargo in Muscat, Oman. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and excellence in transport logistics. Your Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
* Manage a fleet of trucks, ensuring maintenance, scheduling, and performance optimization.
* Strategically plan and execute the movement of oversized cargo, mitigating risks and ensuring smooth operations.
* Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
* Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Ensure regulatory and safety compliance in line with industry standards.
* Report directly to the General Manager, providing key insights and operational recommendations.
Requirements:
What You Bring:
* 8+ years of transport/logistics experience, with expertise in fleet management and heavy cargo operations
* Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and drive results.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments.
* A university degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
* In-depth knowledge of transport regulations and safety protocols.
Salary:
USD
5,000 to 6,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
