Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Develop and recommend related policies and strategies to the Chief Commercial Officer.
• Deliver strategies and measures in order to meet profit targets per region with a set of cross-departmental KPIs supervising commercial managers assigned to the regions
• Provide direction, guidance and steering to local and regional sales teams on market opportunities.
• Provide all commercial intelligence and insights across the network, and timely and relevant reports and dashboards are created that support the decision process.
• Review the effectiveness of commercial, sales and marketing actions, spreading best practice.
• Develop commercial products and tools to drive sales.
• Develop global dealing guidelines and strategies as well as implementation and managing of Company’s compensation plan for travel agents, corporate and government accounts considering competitor environment and market dynamics.
• Develop commercial strategies and programs designed to maximize revenue from all channels, create and capitalize on new and existing revenue production opportunities.
• Regular evaluate performance against objectives in order to increase efficiency and productivity of Sales team in creating and capitalizing on new revenue production opportunities.
• Communicate with various internal stakeholders in order to achieve a cohesive approach to resolving all commercial related issues. The scope of this interaction will be essentially to identify trends, problems and proactively taking them up with field Sales teams, Revenue Management, Pricing, Customer Engagement, Network Planning, Finance, HR, Customer Service, Flight Operations, Commercial Affairs & Inflight Services.
• Guide all the Divisional Heads to ensure, maintain and enhance high levels of internal communications.
• Ensure high standards of service are maintained and enhanced throughout the network.
• Co-ordinate with Finance and Planning Divisions to set the yearly targets, review stations performance and recommend new routes or enhancement to existing routes to the Chief Commercial Officer.
• Develop and supervise revenue optimization strategies.
• Ensure the performance of the company against route revenue targets. Diagnose deviations and develop corrective measures.
• Develop strategies to widen the distribution channels of Oman Air’s product.
• Develop regional intelligence and contacts to keep abreast of market trends and changes.
• Assist in decision making with regards to cancellation, alterations or deletion of flights on permanent or temporary basis.
• Establish commercial PMO as central planning function of all commercial related projects.
• Develop the customer segmentation and customer life cycle road map.
• Ensure the company avails itself of current and modern industry applications to improve management information, passenger handling, distribution and communication.
• Supervise marketing drives to enhance the corporate image in line with set revenue and budget targets.
• Participate in evaluations and negotiations for the purpose of aircraft leasing or purchasing.
• Participate in fleet planning requirements.
• Participate in formulation of corporate policies and procedures.
• Develop a reputation within the company for innovative thinking, excellence, reliability and partnership attitude.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in a related discipline preferably in economics, statistics or analytics with 14 years of relevant experience of which 5 years in a managerial role independent heading the business intelligence department Master Degree in a related discipline will be preferred and advantage
