Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Operations
• Work closely with VP Commercial Steering and VP Customer Engagement to source, quantify, negotiate and implement e-Sales plans to insure increased online revenue to the airline.
• Develop E-commerce strategy and NDC roadmap for Oman Air.
• Develop and implement e-marketing, e-distribution and e-sales measures across the network.
• Develop ancillary revenue stream via online channels (web, OTAs, meta-searchers, aggregators, etc.).
• Widen online distribution, monitor, and develop insights to ensure online sales opportunities are fully capitalised on.
• Analyse, identify, quantify and report trends in traffic and customer behavioural data on website and present improvements to existing processes to reduce costs or improve services and functions.
• Conduct competitive analysis and provide useful findings to cross-functional teams
• Develop expertise and excellences in the use and enhancement of available IT resources and related processes in support of medium and long range planning.
• Widen the distribution channel by displaying Oman Air products in various Travel Portals.
• Develop worldwide intelligence and contacts to keep abreast of Marketing, Distribution and Service systems or applications to ensure the company avails itself of current and modern industry applications to improve management information, passenger handling and distribution and communications applications.
• Establish excellent contacts throughout the industry to source, negotiate and implement such applications on the best contract terms available.
• Ensure, with CCO and fellow managers, that the division develops a reputation within and outside the company for innovative thinking, excellence, reliability and a partnership attitude.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the management as and when necessary.

People Development
• Conduct performance review and discuss and ensure continuous improvement of members of the team.
• Lead and guide team members by providing them with guidance, training and the required growth opportunities to ensure that they are developed for higher-level roles
• Provide maximum support to drive Omanisation plans by helping in training of qualified Omani employees.

• Thorough know-how in crucial digital areas including e-marketing, online sales & distribution, web customer service, digital products & services, and organizational e-commerce design and how to deploy these areas for an effective e-commerce strategy.
• Ability to significantly and rapidly increase revenue in ecommerce environment.
• Has driven major revenue growth and profitability while simultaneously shifting distribution mix from traditional to more efficient and modern
• Bachelor degree in a related discipline preferably in commerce with 14 years of relevant experience in the field of Ecommerce, distribution strategy and sales of which 05 years in a managerial role. Master Degree in a related discipline will be preferred and advantage
