Qualification and experience required

Arabic speaker mandatory

Professional experience: minimum 10 years in NDT activities

Experience in similar position: minimum 5 years in similar role and on LNG plant construction

Valid Level 2 certificate: ASNT 9712; PCN (or equivalent) in UT, RT, MT and PT

Valid welding certificate: CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI

Service

The job holder is responsible, within the project, for following up, monitoring and supervising NDT and inspection activities carried out by the plant and tank contractors and subcontractors at site and, if at vendors yards as required, during the construction and pre-commissioning phases, ensuring that his discipline's contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by the contractors and/or subcontractors.

In this respect, and to ascertain that the facilities are built as per the project requirements, the job holder, within the perimeter of his discipline, verifies and comments on contractor's and/or subcontractor's NDT procedures and methodologies, NDT map, and ensures that contractors and/or subcontractors have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to perform the job with the required quality level and to complete it in due time. He is also closely monitoring the calibration and storage of NDT equipment (gamma-ray, UT set, MPIu2026).

He reports on a day-to-day basis directly to the senior welding/NDT inspector.

The job holder participates in routine and random inspections and attends daily/regular construction meetings related to his discipline with contractors and/or subcontractors, performs HSE visits and tours as required, and ensures adequate reporting to the senior welding/NDT inspector (areas of concern, problems encountered in his discipline during construction and/or implementation by contractors and/or subcontractors).

As a general manner, the job holder provides assistance to the company construction team for all matters related to his discipline in accordance with instructions provided by his discipline superintendent and is accountable for demonstrating, individually, exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules and requirements.
