University of Essex Online MSc in Infection Control

The MSc Infection Control online has been designed for nurses and other health professionals who have an infection control role in their workplace but is open to anyone with an interest in this area, including staff of health ministries, health departments, aid organisations and disease control agencies.

The programme will increase your understanding of the skills required by an infection control practitioner, which will enable you to be more effective in your role.

Applicants are usually registered nurses or health care professionals in full or part-time employment with a minimum of two years post-registration experience and access to a clinical microbiology department.

In addition, applicants normally have a Bachelors degree in a relevant or appropriate subject, or the equivalent from an internationally recognised institution.

As an MSc Infection Control student, you will typically be working as a specialist Infection Control Nurse, environmental health officer or other healthcare professional with responsibility for infection control in your role.
