Media relations
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with Tier 1 corporate media in respective market(s)
- Leverage MDLZ's iconic brands and work with the LT to drive coverage that promotes MDLZ's growth agenda and leadership in snacking, well- being and e- commerce
- Support marketing teams to safeguard the rich heritage of our iconic brands and introduce the latest innovations (Note: Brand PR is delivered by marketing, CGA plays a supporting role offering strategic advice and managing interactions with Tier 1 media)
- Collaborate with HR to build the MDLZ employer brand
- Oversee the media and ensure timely handling of all media enquiries and statements
- Contribute to the MDLZ MEA corporate external digital/social media channels including website, Facebook and Twitter
- Represent MDLZ as a spokesperson and provide media training for the market LT.
- Manage the PR agency and ensure quality delivery of required tasks

Public & Government Affairs (PGA)
- Ensure to establish and nurture strong relationships with local government and stakeholders
- Identify and address short- term barriers to trade by monitoring the external environment and influencing regulations or proposals which impact our license to operate
- Work directly and with trade associations to influence the long- term policy debate on MDLZ global priority issues (well- being, food safety, tax and trade, sustainability, retail environment)
- Enable business growth by working with government and stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and/or financial incentives for new projects
- Unlock bottle necks that may represent threat to the business
- Provide support to all departments to solve issues that may represent threats to the business
- Provide the business with consultation and guidance based on the government and political scene

Internal communications
- Own the internal communications in the local market to ensure that colleagues understand corporate strategy and business performance (includes quarterly local town halls, 'open house' sessions, email updates from the market leader, celebration events, regular updates)
- Make sure colleagues understand global strategy and priorities
- Partner with HR to provide support in the engagement agenda
- Provide HR with support communicating critical issues to employees, develop messages, Q's & A's
- Lead all communications around transformation projects such as supply chain reinvention acquisitions..etc.

Community engagement:
- Lead local community projects promoting healthy lifestyles , healthy nutrition and active play
- Encourage volunteerism among collegues
- Create opportunities to provide support to the communities
- Leverage community engagement activity to drive our reputation with media and stakeholders
- Continue driving the success of previous CSR projects

Special Situations Management Team
- Provide advice on interactions with media and government in the event of a special situation eg product recall, industrial action/employee protest, accidents on site , issue necessary statement and advise the business on how to handle media
- Lead respective stakeholdesr in case of special situations and manage deliverables to mitigate business impact
- Work closely with the local and regional SSMT manager

Brand management:
- Own the brand guidelines and ensure that the organization is fully aware of it and abides accordingly
- Own the internal branding
- Provide support to the HR with the employer branding program

Requirements

Knowledge: including education, qualifications and training
- Master's Degree, preferably in business or public administration

Experience
- Experience in communications, including experience in government affairs and issues management
- Work experience with PR agency
- Previous work experience in a large, matrixed multinational

Languages
- Excellent English
