Job Description

Position Purpose

Lead and manage all Conversion processes within the Plant according to CI culture in order to achieve required production volume defined by Manager Plant, in compliance with quality standards and in accordance with the KPIs set, fulfilling safety norms and satisfying internal customers' needs.

Key Accountabilities

Manufacturing

- Ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing of planned production, while meeting the production schedule with best quality at lowest possible costs for local and abroad business units as defined by SCORE/FOF procedures.
- Ensure that conversion sections and processes are at the top of the industry regarding line productivity and efficiency targets. Responsible for conversion KPI's - lines' efficiency, yield, rework, overweight, scrap, line manning, and production volume.

Quality

- Responsible that all products manufactured at the lines are complying with product specifications. Ensures that all quality (HACCP, GMP, ISO) and safety regulations are in place, monitored, and followed by corrective actions.
- Support SSE programs and reinforce safe behaviour of Conversion employees.
- Acts as safety leader in Conversion, recognizing dangers and offenses to protect employees from accidents and legal actions resulting from that.

CIP and Conversion

- Bear responsibility for productivity and CIP projects in Conversion.
- Manage interfaces with Business Development and R&D for new products, new processes, product promotions, and reformulation/de-complexity projects. Permanently challenge status quo in the day-to-day activities in Conversion to promote new initiatives.
- Responsible for the integration of technical/maintenance expertise in Conversion.

People Management

- Manage sections' teams and ensure people's development and guidance.
- Ensure proper training for sections' team members.
- Manage interfaces of other plant functions (Controlling, Quality, Engineering, SSE, etc) and suppliers.
- Bear overall responsibility for establishing team culture at the lines by providing clear understanding of the requirements for the CIP culture (e.g. organization, TPM, behaviours /attitude and culture).
- Communicate plans and information to sections' teams and follow through on all commitments.

Controlling and Methods

- Responsible for budgeting, as well as for adherence to budget figures, tracking and reporting of deviations.
- Definition and tracking of conversion process-relevant KPIs as well as definition of capacity and line staff requirements as the basis for production planning and product costing.
- Ensure payback calculation for projects and cost calculation for products in Manufacturing together with Plant Controller.
- Responsible for correct collection and registration of cost and line shift performance data.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education

- University degree in Manufacturing or Engineering
- Manufacturing systems (SAP, MFG\Pro), good PC literacy (MS Office)
- LMCI Training, CI for All

Skills

Technical Requirements

- The incumbent should be role model in:
- Target-Setting for Respective KPI

- Determinate Facts & Figures from the Sections and Create a Section Budget
- Set-up of Corrective Actions in Case of Deviations
- Identification of Main Cost Drivers for Further Productivity Potential
- Provide Clear Understanding of the Requirements for the CIP-Process/Culture

Experience

- 8+ years in Manufacturing environment (Production, Maintenance, Engineering preferred)
- CIP or TPM background is a strong advantage
- Experience in Food Manufacturing will be an advantage
- Experience of leading a function and team
- Assignments or responsibilities in Quality and SSE

Languages

- English & Urdu required
