VAC7804 - Billing Engineer

Role Summary:

Responsible for billing Product and service development and charging implementations, integration and changes, responsible for dunning process and lifecycle implementation, issuing the bills to all customers (Post-paid and Hybrid) accurate and on time including responsible for customer data accuracy status and healthy checks, prepare and test new business requirements of the billing system with vendors, provide 3rd and 4th line support for business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Charging system integration with network systems like MSC, SMSC, GGSN based on standards for online charging.
- Billing Product and service development for charging implementations and changes
- Work closely with business units in the development of new tariffs and services and ensuring that prices reflected in the system are accurate and consistent.
- Responsible for 3 rd and 4 th line support to the business as requested by Service desk for issues related to new products.
- Relation with systems Vendor in following systems issues.
- Managing systems releases and patches.
- Implement and monitor changes on dunning process actions for postpaid customers.
- Implement and monitor new changes on lifecycle for prepaid customers.
- Responsible for billing and invoicing process for Ooredoo postpaid customers and ensures that accounts are properly reconciled and invoiced.
- Identifies and resolves billing and rating related issues.
- Responsible for generating ad-hoc requested data reporting from all billing components.
- responsible billing and charging system components administration and monitoring like systems health checks, scheduled routines and jobs
- Performing ongoing performance and capacity analysis through collecting history of performance data to produce and suggesting for capacity planning
- Ability to drive and execute assigned projects as according to the plan.
- Improving systems performance by investigating problems, systems logs analysis, developing specifications, identifying trends in technology, and recommending, integrating and documenting solutions.
- Ensure that Billing and Charging system systems are up and operational 24 by 7.
- Other tasks might be required

Requirements

Work Experience & Qualifications:

- University degree in Computer Science or telecom/electric / computer engineering
- More than 2 years' experience in Billing and charging systems
- Good knowledge in Oracle 11g Database.
- Good knowledge in UNIX / Redhat Administration and Shell scripting.
- Good knowledge in SQL/PL SQL.
- Problem solving & analytical Thinking in a Variable environment
- Experience in Web Services, WSDL, SOAP, XML technologies.
- Experience in version control systems
