Job description / Role
We are supporting a Boutique Hotel and Resort in the West Bank, Palestinian Territories, in identifying a General Manager.
This Hotel Resort is a successful well run 200 room development that is very popular among holiday makers who visit the region.
A wide range of restaurants and bars are also available on the grounds, along with outdoor pools, a kids' pool, and a jacuzzi. Other amenities include a playground, a BBQ area and a fitness room, plus tennis, basketball, handball and volleyball courts.
The GM will be required to carry out the following duties:
- Oversee the operations functions of the hotel, as per the Organizational chart.
- Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.
- Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOP's, policies, procedures and service standards.
- Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment.
- Handling complaints, and oversee the service recovery procedures.
- Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's annual Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
Requirements
In order to be successful in this role candidates should be able to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- Experienced as a GM or Operations Manager in a Hotel
- 5+ years in Hotel Operations Management
- Ability to travel
- Must be able to travel in and out of Palestinian Territories freely
