Job description / Role

Overview: The Head of Procurement will lead and establish the procurement function for our growing construction business. This role is critical in setting up robust procurement processes, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and
cost-effective sourcing of materials and services to support project execution. The ideal candidate is not only technically strong in procurement practices but also demonstrates enterprise leadership — with the ability to influence cross-functional
teams, drive organizational change, and align procurement strategy with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end procurement processes, policies, and systems.
• Establish procurement governance and compliance protocols to ensure transparency and efficiency
• Develop sourcing strategies for key materials and subcontracted services aligned with project requirements.
• Oversee all sourcing activities, from early planning to post-contract evaluation, ensuring alignment with project delivery timelines.
• Build and manage a strong network of vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers; lead negotiations to ensure best value and quality.
• Drive cost-efficiency initiatives while ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and ethical standards.
• Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team.
• Provide strategic insights on procurement risks, trends, and market dynamics to inform executive decisions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Over 18 years relevant work experience preferably in construction industry
• Proven experience in procurement transformation, contract management, vendor negotiation, supplier performance management, financial acumen & budgeting
• Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• With Enterprise-wide mindset and strategic thinking
