Continued award of global projects across Asia Pacific, the US, Canada and Europe has created this opportunity as a Team Leader - Quantity Surveying with our client, an international commercial stone contracting firm from Canada Projects typically comprise casinos, hotels, museums and other commercial projects. This role is responsible for taking the lead on assigned projects and managing a team of Quantity Surveyors in the preparation of budgetary estimates from sketch drawings, bill of quantities and cost estimates for various global projects.

Reporting to the Head Quantity Surveyor and managing a team of 4 Quantity Surveyors, this role is responsible for the following:
• Displaying leadership through taking the head lead on assigned projects.
• Lead and manage a team of 4 Quantity Surveyors and / or Senior Quantity Surveyors.
• Prepare evaluations/ cost projections of the assignment to meet requirements of works in progress.
• Estimate project cost components using historical data, current experience and customer requirements.
• Supervision of all Quantity Surveying staff and checking of details of work for accuracy purposes.
• Interpret and check drawings, tender documents, quantities and estimates.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or comparable experience.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying within stone fabrication or commercial fit out sector.
• Must possesses international construction experience and have knowledge of site execution and methods.
• Candidate should be familiar with various international stone standards and method of measurement, especially the Marble institute of America and ASTM.
• Should possess knowledge of Natural stone quarries globally and shipping and other general international tax structures.
• Bilingual skills in English / Tagalog is required.
• Philippine National
• Computer literacy and be fully conversant on preparation of spreadsheets with knowledge of Estimation proprietary software being an advantage
