Our newest opportunity is for a talented BIM Modeler to join our award-winning team based in Porto, Portugal. This role will be working on major scale Infrastructure projects, therefore a background in this field will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include:

- Working under the direction of BIM Manager or Coordinator.
- Understanding of BS EN ISO19650 concepts and principles for BIM methodology and framework.
- Collaborating and Coordinating with other disciplines to mitigate design challenges.
- Adhering to the BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
- Following BIM content standards and development procedures.
- Liaising with engineers and designers to ensure best practices are in place and design criteria is met.
- Authoring BIM Model's for underground utilities, roads and bridges, utilizing mostly Civil 3D but also Revit.
- Opening and Navigating federated models to review clashes using Navisworks Manage.
- Preparing of design outputs derived from BIM models (reports, drawings, quantities, analysis, etc...)
- Using Civil 3D Data Shortcuts within an existing project.
- Implementing and developing automation routines to speed up the work and streamline day-to-day tasks.
- Creating custom parts or families as necessary for compliance.
- Coordinating and giving technical guidance to CAD Drafters to export/produce drawings.
- Coordinating with other disciplines to achieve a fully integrated design.
- Attending online client meetings, as necessary.
- Liaising with the Client and Authority representatives to obtain design approvals, as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 3 years work experience in design, drafting or engineering for large complex projects partnered with a BSc or MSc preferably in Engineering, Architecture or BIM;

or a Post Graduation in BIM.

Background in construction and/or engineering is mandatory.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Proficiency in Civil 3D 2022 and upwards.
- Autodesk Construction Cloud (former BIM360)
- Navisworks Manage
- Knowledge in other software and tools, complementary for Infrastructure workflows is an advantage:
- Subassembly Composer
- Part Builder
- Dynamo
- Revit
- Inventor
- Infraworks is an advantage.
