Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions, the Admissions Coordinator provides support for the Office of Admissions activities, which include advising of prospective students, and the processing of applications and relevant documentation to the Six Year Medical program and Four-Year Medical Curriculum of the Six-Year Medical Program.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinates and executes prescribed document flows related to applications for the Six-Year Medical Program and Four-Year Medical Curriculum
• Interprets and extracts complex data from international and regional student transcripts and accurately enters into appropriate databases. Maintains confidential applicant student files
• Develops and maintains current knowledge of admissions requirements and relevant international and regional high school assessment methodologies
• Assists Admissions Officer(s) by corresponding by email, telephone and in person with applicants regarding missing application documents and application progress as appropriate
• Contributes to the development and maintenance of the Admissions Office policies and procedures manual, ensuring compliance and consistency in own area of operations
• Drafts routine correspondence; creates templates for planning, procedural and tracking documents, and formats reports; compiles statistical information and creates spreadsheets; maintains databases
• Liaises with WCM-Q faculty and staff, WCM-NY and CU administrative staff, as appropriate and as directed
• Performs other duties as required or assigned



• Bachelor's Degree


• Relevant office administrative experience.
• Prior experience in an international, healthcare or academic environment preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Advanced interpersonal and negotiating skills
• Previously demonstrated advanced proficiency in MS Suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Previously demonstrated advanced clerical and general office skills including; word processing, records maintenance, and work in process documentation.
• Previously demonstrated advanced oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions
• Proficiency in Arabic is strongly desired
• Knowledge of the spectrum of international credentials desirable
• Knowledge of international admissions standards policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements a plus
• Prior experience in a multi-cultural working environment desirable

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Work is completed in office environment.
• The job may require extended and varying work hours to meet demands. Approximately 80% is computer based, 20% desk office based.
