Employment: Full Time

Airside Transport Controller - Qatar Aviation Services - Doha

Reporting to the Manager Ground Transport, you will be responsible to organize, plan, monitor and control all activities relevant to Passenger, Staff and Crew Transportation at Hamad International Airport whilst ensuring that all staff members under the jurisdiction adhere to the safety regulations and maintain discipline as per the company’s policy- representing airside transport operations.

You will also be responsible for but not limited to:
• Managing and motivating staff belonging to Airside Transport to ensure efficient running of Passenger Transportation as per the set standards of Customer Airlines.
• Ensuring consistent delivery standards, department KPI’s and On Time Performance are maintained at the highest level as per the company standards.
• Plan and adapt the operational implementation based on the analysis and real time environment.
• Ensuring staff are complying with the Safety and Security procedures as set by the Company and Airport Authorities by liaising with section Officers/Supervisors
• Enforcing Safety rules and other accident preventions measures in order to prevent injury or damage and promote welfare in the organization
• Liaise with all other QAS Departments, Airport Authorities, Customer Airlines, Security and other organizations to ensure the smooth running of the operations and Staff development.
• Regularly review the departments objectives plans, procedures and practices and suggests appropriate changes if needed.
• Monitor Training to ensure all staff have received the mandatory Trainings.
• Implement best practice resource management through accurate and detailed forecasting, planning and allocation in order to deliver operational excellence.
• Conduct investigation and disciplinary hearings, relating to airside transport in order to monitor incidents and accidents.
• Supports the Manager Ground Transport and ensuring all areas with the Airside Transport are within the planned operating budget.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role you should be a graduate or equivalent with 5 years of experience, strong knowledge of HUB ground handling procedures and airport safety and security regulations, have excellent command over written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and team working skills, strong analytical ability, proficient in developing reports via Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, self-motivated and highly organized with strong attention to detail, proven ability to work under pressure to defined timescales.
